Scientific instrumentation of GINGA consists of the Large Area Counter (LAC), the All Sky Monitor (ASM), and the Gamma-ray Burst Detector (GBD). The LAC, the main detector of GINGA, covers the energy range of 2-70 keV with an effective area of 4000 cm2. More details about the satellite and the instruments can be found at ISAS and NASA/GSFC. For the LAC, please refer to Turner et al. (1989), PASJ 41, 345 and Hayashida et al. (1989) PASJ 41, 373.
